However, as we were staying here for the final part of our honeymoon, we felt a little removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, especially as we didn’t have a car. There is a bus stop close to the front of the hotel, which was very helpful, but I would still recommend having a car if you plan to explore the surrounding area. Our room overlooked a car park, and the shower temperature was extremely unpredictable. Every evening, it would suddenly change from cold to extremely hot without us adjusting the tap, Jodie Heagney, 2 months ago > We decided to book two nights at Rydges Latimer in Christchurch when they had an amazing deal on their website, which included free parking, breakfast and 1pm late checkout. This place is gorgeous! The parking is a little squishy, but to get free parking with the deal was amazing and we left our car and walked into the city through our stay which was super convenient. The only thing was the lady who checked us in didn't get our registration number on our car and so when we left that evening for dinner we ended up paying a parking fee, however when we brought it to receptions attention our, CC Bryant, 4 months ago > For our one night stay in Christchurch our agent booked us in here. Pleasantly surprised. We were met on reception by a lovely young lady who was very friendly and efficient. Our large room was lovely and a super shower in the bathroom. Beds firm but comfortable and the room had all the mod cons. Buffet breakfast was very good and a good choice. Location was superb, easy to walk into this lovely, vibrant city.
