> Kia ora. A CCC project was completed several months ago where the water submain was replaced in front of my house (8 Lake Terrace Road, Burwood). This project intersected with my stormwater lateral (pictured just street-ward of my boundary). The other day I noticed the ground had slumped, dug down to check and saw that my PVC stormwater lateral terminates with a bundle of another smaller pipe wrapped in plastic pushed inside (transitioning from a large diameter pipe to smaller woth no seal). SW discharging from my property now flows partly into this smaller pipe which runs to the kerb outlet, and partly into the ground at this junction (hence the erosion and slumping). Happy to discuss more but it appears to be a very poorly reinstated connection during these works. The edge of the footpath where it intersects the dirt berm immediately in front of my fence is also is rough condition (along the full length of the property). I was expecting this to be tidied up (i.e. saw cut) as part of the reinstatement. Even better would be sealing this over completely with asphalt if possible so I don't have to keep weeding this section of dirt which is council owned.
