> Hello councilperson. I realise the issue of the blocked drain is on private property that being the Merivale Mall car park. I have reported this issue before. However yet again earlier today with the torrential rain, the water overflows onto the dirt and then down over the footpath into the gutter on Office Road. It’s not very pleasant when one is walking along the public footpath to have a small river flowing over it. I went back tonight to take photos.( see attached) Is it normal to allow owners / companies of private property to have blockages that cause issues that effect the general public’s ability to safely walk? The footpath in question has quite a high pedestrian usage. It would be a relief to have this issue attended to. Thank you for your consideration.
