> Council contractors with weed whackers were along the Heathcote River in Centennial Park this week "tidying" the riverbanks. In doing so, that have killed or damaged many of the community planted native trees and cut back flaxes that are currently in flower that the bellbirds have been visiting. If they're not going to be trained (and paid) to take more care, they should be kept well away from these places.
