> Hi it’s me again, don’t know if it’s Downers or another contractors area but who ever it is, can you sort by the end of the day. I’ve already broken and lifted the grates, which weren’t done before me so the “ crew you sent out “ mustn’t have done them Maybe they are charging and not doing the work ??? And their 1 inch hose won’t fit between the grate and unblock the blockage (Chris is a drain layer) I can arrange my company to do this and invoice you ? You’ve got crew on stand by and this flooding will effect the social housing (15-20) people plus 8-10 houses on opawa road I can see why Downers say it’s not there job as they only do highway maintenance, but technically opawa road is highway 76 but the side access road isn’t, but for the 15 years I’ve lived here before the widening of the road we live right on the edge. Maybe it too much of a special job for them to handle ? This whole week is going to rain so it’s best to get it sorted today. You’ll Have to life the access split point too. It’s the last picture. It hasn’t been opened since moss has been growing on it and sand and sediment has made its own concrete I guess the next press will be social media (nadacoroachris) or maybe the stuff/press (Nz herald) Thanks xoxo Kia ora Christopher You probably keep getting emails saying that Downer/SouthernLink will be unblocking that troublesome drain. Unfortunately we only maintain the state highways for Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency. I keep sending them back to the council – but I’m not sure why they are not allocating them to their maintenance provider for Mary McLean Place.
