> These trucks begin at 7am and go back and forth all day. Sometimes, if we’re really lucky, they park outside our 94 yr old house, with the engine idling, while they wait for the previous truck to leave the Banks Ave site. This street waited a long time to be repaired after the earthquakes. Our houses were all badly damaged. Quite apart from the noise pollution, the vibration is severe enough to make appliances and cupboard doors rattle. This is only the start of the building process. How much more do residents have to endure?
