> The road outside our house has been getting progressively worse over the last two years. We assumed that this would be resolved when the water pipe renewal up Hackthorne was completed (last week). The contractors appear to have only resealed the trench strip, not the cracked and broken tarmac on either side. Was this part of their scope? If not, why not? Not a good use of ratepayer funds at all if they are going to have to come back in summer and reseal the road either side… surely a proactive approach would have been sensible.
