> There is a black cable thing poking up in the grass next to the footpath at the entrance to Riccarton House. A small white post (in photo) has been put alongside, probably in order to protect it. This footpath is used by cyclists entering and exiting the Unicycle route, and is a pinch point with the telegraph pole alongside. The white post is not easily seen and blends in with the asphalt, especially with sight lines from a bicycle. Suggest white post is painted a bright colour so cyclists don’t crash into it
