# Roading/Streets, Denali Street, Halswell, 8025, Canterbury

Halswell, Christchurch · filed 25 May 2018 · report 433854

> Slip risk on Denali street foot bridge to bike park - This footbridge is a main thoroughfare to the Knights Stream bike park. It is down a small slope that requires walkers and riders to come at it on a sight angle. Because if it’s location it is often covered with ice for a good part of the morning. This is causing children’s scooters and bike wheels to slip out from under them when they come down the slope onto the bridge and crash. It is also very slippery for foot pedestrian. This will only get worse as it gets colder. I am suggesting some non slip material added to the decking as well as some small signage either side of the bridge.
