> Re Temporary Traffic Management Footpath closure on Fitzgerald Ave at River Rd directs pedestrians onto carriageway “protected” from passing traffic by only a row of cones - no fence, no lateral safety zone. Note that “directs” isn’t quite accurate, as there are no directional guidance signs for peds, just ramps onto the carriageway on either side of site. At least any peds hit have only a 10% chance of dying with the 30kph TSL (although being at end of TSL, most drivers will be accelerating).
