> This is the Westmorland east reserve. The management and the maintenance of this reserve in inadequate. The easy access areas are mowed or cut down by weed eaters, but there is a lot of area neglected. There are waist high rank weeds and grasses which are smothering small trees and tussock. At this time of year the weeds and grasses are flowering and seeding, which of course will create more. When we first moved into Hadleigh Lane 5 years ago, this reserve was regularly maintained and looked great. Over the last two years maintenance has been irregular and quite inadequate. It is at a stage where it requires a forward plan to ensure it doesn’t get totally out of hand.
