> Why has a fence been built to the river here? Originally built to about 10m from river but extended in November. Both sides are council-owned reserves and this is on the intended route of the Styx River ‘Source to Sea’ walk with explicit connection expected for under railway bridge. Also why handle and ledge? - it is as if designed to allow someone to dangerously swing around the end of the fence above the river
