> Ferrymead Park is getting a hybrid field with no upgrade to intercept plastic that will break down from the fibres. I then looked into this as part of CCCs parks upgrades and note a number of parks are to get increased artificial turf. I am concerned this will generate microplastic pollution and enter the environment so would like to discuss this with the appropriate parts of Council.
