> The Z intersection of Lyttelton Street, Rose Street and Marley View Street is incredibly busy at multiple times throughout the weekdays and all weekend. Cars often travel over the speed limit along Rose Street from Cashmere View Street to Hoon Hay Road in both directions. Crossing Rose Street for pedestrians to access Lyttelton street or the park is incredibly dangerous, particularly with children and there is no safe crossing point in this area. Given the number of people accessing the park, Pioneer Leisure Centre and Best Start Pioneer pre-school, a safe crossing point needs to be established given the amount of traffic/ speed of traffic. A crossing Island on Rose Street near the corner ofthe park (similar to the one on Littleton st) whould help make crossing here safer.
