# Accessibility, 20A Sandy Beach Road, Banks Peninsula, Lyttelton 8971, New Zealand

Lyttelton, Christchurch · filed 11 June 2025 · report 6461726
https://www.chch.live/report/6461726

> Hi Sandy Bay beach. Deterioration is happening quickly because the stone mole that has been there for approx 23 years is in no state to contain the sand on the beach side of the rock wall. A front end loader is required to move the bolders on to the wall. Note too heavy for humans to move. This is a well used community beach, that is now disappearing through lack of maintenance. Action would be appreciated. Thanks
