# Traffic Signals, 366 Blenheim Road, Upper Riccarton, Christchurch 8041, New Zealand

Upper Riccarton, Christchurch · filed 17 June 2025 · report 6491438
https://www.chch.live/report/6491438

> When turning right from Annex Rd to Blenheim Rd in the evening, the light cycle is too short. The whole green to red cycle is only a few seconds. This is a safety issue for cyclists, because there is insufficient time to cross the intersection (even if starting at the first hint of green), before the Blenheim Rd traffic gets a green signal. The orange time needs to be longer. Secondly, the vehicle/ cycle detection ground loop does not detect cyclists turning right at this same intersection.
