# Traffic Signals, Waimairi Rd, Canterbury, Christchurch 8041, New Zealand

Christchurch · filed 30 July 2025 · report 6677799

> THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL PHASES NEED TO BE CHANGED. People turning right create a backlog of traffic for those turning left. And because there is no green arrow cycle it takes 10+ minutes to travel east on Maidstone Rd. Cycle rate did seem to be much quicker the other day but has almost become slower. This also means pedestrians are sat on the side of the road longer between cycles and are more likely to jaywalk. If this is the plan until 2026, surely there are helping factors to avoid traffic
