> The plastic on the sidewalk is a slip hazard in wet weather. Rather than solving a safety issue , you have created one. The majority of raised sidewalk « alerts » in our area are not plastic but some sort of concrete or gritted material. Having a plastic raised area that is so large it is virtually impossible to avoid placed immediately beside a sloping surface, indicates a poorly conceived design. This is the third accident we have had in our family that has resulted in an injury.
