> The Waitai board recently decided against installing a ped refuge crossing on Burwood Rd outside the hospital, possibly because it had a speed hump). I'd like to suggest that a crossing be considered without a bump, and a slightly different location further north on Burwood Rd (green in pic#1) where there is a small bend. There is already space for a refuge island in the painted median( pic#2). I can work on gauging local support with residents, board, hospital
