# Noise - General, 186E Chester Street East, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand

Christchurch Central City, Christchurch · filed 6 February 2026 · report 7687660
https://www.chch.live/report/7687660

> loud rubbish collection by Waste Management company on public holiday at 6.50AM. impossible to stay asleep and I attempts to do it quietly. A private bin collection company should not be allowed in residential area to make that much noise especially when Mondays is CCC collection and noise then too but luckily at a later time. This should not be before 8am on Public Holidays and ideally all Fridays. Please request to adhere to district plan noise limits which are being breached.
