> The intake to fill the water holding tank for the public toilets is blocked It is on the top side of the road culvert, just above our mailbox. I’ve asked several times for this to be fixed over the years so that it doesn’t keep blocking. Chances are the tank is also full of sediment too. This needs attention so that it holds water and not mud! Several times last summer the public toilets ran out of water. I wonder what rate payers paid for portaloo Fire when the issue could have been fixed before last summer? In the summer this tank is too small and doesn’t keep up with demand. Please don’t send a portaloo. Just get someone over to fix it, so the toilets can be flushed. And don’t send the huge 8 wheeler suction truck that came last time. It nearly got stuck trying to turn around. It must have cost the rate payers $1000 of dollars for something a man and a bucket could have done or a small portable petrol powered waste pump. The system needs attention Existing tank could be moved closer to the culvert and converted into a sediment trap, also the lid has blown away and tank has a crack on the top The sediment trap would need a 2 inch dump valve at the bottom of the tank to drain it and then the outlet would need a riser and perhaps strainer to clear the sediment And then an overflow set up And another larger storage tank placed slightly below to supply the toilet with cleaner water Happy to talk to someone if this is sorted
