> We need a safe pedestrian crossing system at this round about. I walk my kids to and from school (merrin school, which we are in zone For, we live at 18 Grahams road) and it is so busy - cars don’t slow down and stop adequately all the time, and we have nearly been hit a number of times. I don’t feel safe allowing my children to walk to school on their own solely because of this intersection. It is heavily used before and after school by many students attending merrin school and burnside high school. I am highly concerned that there will be a severe incident here. Can a road safety audit please be conducted at the Avonhead/Grahams/merrin roundabout intersection to assess pedestrian and cycle safety. I would like to be kept informed of what is happening with this please. Thanks so much!
