# Your street through time, chch.live

Type a Christchurch street and the page lays out the street's own dates,
oldest first: the papers' documents that name it, the survey flights over
it, the licensed "then" photograph the bank holds where one exists, the
Street View pose it stands beside, and the council's own reports with
their reported_at stamps.

## Where the dates come from

Everything on the page is the street's own record, read live from
https://api.chch.live/street when the visitor names the street. The
documents are the archive's papers, the aerial frames are Environment
Canterbury's CC BY survey flights cut on request at the street's pin, the
photograph is a rights-cleared record that names the street in its title,
and the reports are the council's file with the dates they were filed.
Nothing is baked in and nothing is estimated: a street the record does not
know says so, a section with nothing to show stays shut.
