Great atmosphere. Nice background music. Lots of big windows so you don't feel trapped in a building. Nice indoor and outdoor seating with some couches as well. Heating keeps the cold out in winter. Hot chocolate was delicious! And Matcha was very smooth. I'd ask for it hotter next time, but otherwise very happy
Dominic Stowers, 2 months agoLovely, friendly atmosphere. The food is always so beautifully presented, with options for all dietary requirements 😊 also our favourite place to buy fresh, high quality coffee beans! The shop inside is always worth a look, they have a very well curated selection of books and other products. Love this cafe! 🥰
Yuuki Abraham, 3 months agoThis place has Vibes! The Atmosphere is relaxed and study friendly. But also sophisticated and comfortable. Ideal for small meetings over coffee or casual morning tea with friends.

How the council’s directory described it

In 2008, Addington Coffee Co-op café was established in an old mechanic's workshop. The plan was to create a place of belonging for the local community, while still preserving architectural features. Head along for conversation, interaction or solitude in the café's space. They serve house roasted Jailbreaker Coffee, a selection of sweet and savoury cabinet treats, and an infamous brunch menu. This eatery is completely smokefree - this includes their outdoor dining area. Support them in their goal of making Christchurch smokefree! Open Monday - Friday 7.30am-4pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am-4pm
