As an Asian tourist with zero knowledge of Christchurch's bar scene, I simply asked ChatGPT to recommend 'a local craft beer bar worth a visit,' and this was the very first place it suggested. My experience completely confirmed it—easily the best spot I visited during my five-day trip! I arrived at 5:30 pm, and the place was already packed with a fantastic vibe. For food, the Market Fish Crudo had a super-rich umami flavor, and the fish was incredibly fresh and tender. I ordered a cider and a hazy IPA, both of which paired wonderfully with the food. C L (CL), a month agoThe staff were lovely and helped us pick drinks that suited each person. The cheese chips were a bit much, just a lump of melted cheese that solidified. There was a dog that just kept barking. The outside seating was lovely and it was nice to have fresh air on a sunny day.
