The reporter’s words

hi I am a regular stall holder at the Sumner market. I didnt take a photo today of the problem, sorry. The area of grass and surrounds needs mowing and removal of tendrils from the large Norfolk Pines. It is very messy on the grass area and footpaths from the surf club through to Cave Rock. The market is busy every Sunday, with 100s passing through the area. The stall holders pay to use the area and make a big effort to set up their stands and present their goods for the public, including music etc . The area needs a good tidy up by the gardeners/ city care staff. the gardens with geraniums look nice. But the surrounding area is quite neglected. Thank you Regards Maria Simmonds
