The reporter’s words

Today we took our two young children and small dog to Malvern park to play. I was disgusted that there were 4 dogs not on their leads at the park. 2 were very big dogs one a Labrador one a large black dog one a border collie and the other a smaller possible schnauzer. We have a Maltese shitzu but she was restrained on a lead. My youngest daughter was very scared as they were not restrained by owners. I too wasn't happy as it was supposed to be a pleasant time for us but certainly wasn't as we were worried about these dogs. When is it ok to let dogs off leads at the park?? Being a responsible dog owner I always thought dog parks are for this type of behaviour not the local park. How do you police something like this? I would love to take my kids and puppy to the park but we felt very unsafe today. Regards Kim Eagle
