Rubbish/Recycling
Reported Friday, 6 March 2020 at 9:35 am, 129 Farrington Avenue, Bishopdale, Christchurch 8053, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Every Friday morning these bins are placed directly over the refuged crossing making it all but impossible to cross for those of us with young children in prams or on bikes, and those who are mobility impaired. This morning i saw a elderly woman trying to cross here a bit ahead of us and she had to walk around to where the bins finally stopped and lift her walker up over the curb as the bins were blocking the cut down. Please stop the collectors from putting them over the footpath. Businesses from the mall are good at collecting them first thing, but when the shops dont open until 9-10am, there has already been plenty of foot traffic obstructed by their placement after the trucks have come past.
