Rubbish/Recycling
Reported Friday, 6 March 2020 at 11:27 am, 17B, Deepdale Street, Burnside, 8053, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
The red bins have just been emptied. It’s a windy day. Rubbish is blowing all over the street because 1) some of the people near this address didn’t enclose their rubbish in any kind of wrapper, also, food scraps were included with the rubbish. 2) The rubbish/recycling trucks don’t have adequate flaps coming up to shield from the wind while dumping is ongoing. Maybe council could give better instructions about proper preparation/separation of rubbish, door to door for problem households? Perhaps trucks could be wind screened better? How about a bottle/can deposit?
