The reporter’s words
Due to a massive increase in people and their dogs during covid 19 lockdown the bin is overflowing with poo in plastic bags. There is also increased amounts of dog poo all around the reserve which is not nice to step on when you have to move off the path in order to maintain social distancing. Please can we immediately have a notice in the Waiwetu reserve like the attached photo of a notice that has appeared in Fendalton park. Going forward after lock down it essential to have updated Park notices that “dogs must be kept on a leash rather” than “ under effective control” which allows dog owners to think voice command it effective control when it is clearly not. There are many vicious dog fights in this small Waiwetu reserve and it only a matter of time before a child or someone is hurt. Thanks
