The reporter’s words

Roosevelt ave/Malvern St intersection Needs URGENT attention to prevent more accidents. It cannot wait til midway through 2017 as proposed. Simply keeping the road markings maintained and putting temporary tripod giveaway signs on centre line could save someone's life. I often drive down Malvern street and see people driving straight through Roosevelt, unaware of the giveaway sign at all (thinking they have right of way). As you can see from my photos... The giveaway signposts are out of the drivers line off sight... And poor road markings mean people do not even notice. This is the second time in last 4 years I have had to prompt maintenance on this intersection. When the paints get worn.... The incident rate goes up. I was also witness to the car rolled upside down last week on this intersection. Pleading that someone dies something before someone is killed. Residents have placed cones there in a desperate attempt to draw attention to the intersection.
