Roading/Streets
Reported Thursday, 10 December 2015 at 4:38 pm, Diamond Harbour, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
Regarding: A vehicle parked on Diamond Harbour jetty. I believe no vehicles are authorised to park on the jetty but I could not easily find the sign that used to be located on the boatshed. I informed the two people who had parked their car on the jetty (obstructing some access to the ferry) but they we're rude and ignored my advice that vehicles weren't allowed on the jetty. I took the photos attached which show their licence plate and the vehicle parked in the middle/end of the jetty. Perhaps, if personal vehicles are unauthorised to park on the jetty, a sign or bollard should be erected. I am aware that the jetty has only recently been upgraded so would hate for it to end up needing more expensive repairs simply because two people couldn't park their vehicle 20 metres away.
