The reporter’s words

When sitting in the right turning lane on Carmen Road by the working men’s club it is very difficult to spot smaller vehicles or motorcycles in the right-hand lane heading north. You have to move it into the northbound lane slightly to get a good view. However by doing this if there is something coming you are now blocking their way. I don’t see the relevance of this flax bush and why it is there. It is a hazard and either needs removing or trimmed right back. I have spoken with a couple of the residents who have brought this up with the local councillor for Hornby but said it was a waste of time as nothing has been done. Therefore they decided to put it into my hands and thought if I brought it to your attention something might be done about it. The majority of people struggling to see beyond this flax bush a visitors of the working men’s club i.e. elderly smaller framed members of society with quite poor vision anyway. Hopefully something can be done about this and I can go back to them with a positive outcome
