The reporter’s words

Prior to Christmas someone lifted the water metre lid outside of our property. I'm not sure if it was the Council or construction workers in the area as houses are being built across the road. The lid of the metre will not fit back in the top and sometimes falls in the hole. I have tripped on the lid several times as its in the middle of our footpath to our property and I'm concerned that someone is going to injury themselves. I have elderly parents who visit regularly so I am particularly concerned about them being injured. Can someone have a look to see if it can be repaired - the sides on the metre have slightly caved in which is why the lid no longer fits or could it be moved to the grass area in front of our property?
