Roading/Streets
Reported Sunday, 5 July 2020 at 10:41 am, 141–143, Antigua Street, Addington, Canterbury, 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The advanced cycle detection at the Antigua street / Moorhouse intersection is either not working or inadequate. I have been unnecessarily caught at this intersection a number of times due to the advanced detection not working. I have also observed this happening to others which has resulted in some choosing to cross on the red cycle light out of frustration. It is safety issue causing rider frustration which may lead to rash crossing decisions being made. Please check the advanced detection and make sure it works 100%. This needs to be done ASAP before a more serious incident occurs. Thanks
