The reporter’s words

Pothole outside 233 Gardiners Road. Has got progressively worse. Forces cyclists well out into road in the path of following cars, it is especially dangerous when there is also oncoming traffic as there is not a lot of room for the following car to move towards the Centre line. The alternative is to cycle through which is also dangerous as the hole is getting quite deep and potentially could cause a cyclist to misjudge and have an accident possibly fall into the following traffic path. Please fix it, it’s been like this for over a year and despite work being done on other parts of this same stretch of road, it’s only had a bit of shingle thrown at it which solved the problem for only a couple of weeks. A second pothole is also forming in the same area.
