Roading/Streets
Reported Tuesday, 7 July 2020 at 7:46 am, 20, Ombersley Terrace, Opawa, Canterbury, 8023, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
I’m concerned about the safety of pedestrians due to deterioration of this public walkway. Recently a member of the public had a fall and required an ambulance. The path is very frequently used by the public especially on Sunday’s with the Opawa farmers market and very slippery especially in winter. The asphalt is significantly damaged especially at the entrance due to tree roots and the patched nature of the path causes water to pool in the centre rather than drain away. Can something be done to improve the safety of this?
