Roading/Streets
Reported Saturday, 12 September 2020 at 2:35 pm, 150 Edgeware Road, Canterbury, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The detector loop for eastbound traffic on Edgeware Road is broken. At approximately 1230am last night, we were waiting at the intersection for 2-3 minutes at a red light, with three cars in front and maybe 2 behind. We figured the loop would be broken and it would take a long time to time out, so the passenger ran up to the lights to push the pedestrian button to force a phase change
