The reporter’s words
My elderly parents have spent 6 days tidying this area on the corner of Broken Run - Wigram. This area has never been cut back, tidies, or maintained for the 14 years that they have lived in their home on Longspur Avenue. I am sure they, nor any of the residents of this sub division are responsible for maintaining these council owned areas, and they are certainly not in a position to dump this greenery. I am well aware this is not a park but I would hope this will reach the correct department in the very near future so the rubbish/greenery can be removed ASAP. It is a very thankless job that they are far too old to be maintaining or fee they’re responsible for! They just got sick of driving past the mess for many years.....Waiting for something to be done!
