The reporter’s words
My neighbour at 44 Massey Cres has started excavation of trees on his site to make a foundation for a massive trailer to work his business from. He has also been burning painted wood through winter, the toxic smoke from this comes directly though our house when the wind blows in our direction. CCC have published a guide how to maintain the special characteristics of Massey Crescent and I feel that my neighbour is violating them in multiple areas. I know businesses can be run from an existing home but to bring in a large trailer unit and run the business from this surely he would need a Resource Consent from CCC and approval from his neighbours. He has piles of used car tyres stacked on the front lawn and has ten vehicles/car bodies parked on his driveway, front lawn and side areas. I know all of us as neighbours both next door and across the road are concerned that the above points do not follow the special character of Massey Cres. Could you please send someone to site to prevent further excavation ASAP!
