Parking - Disabled
Reported Sunday, 4 October 2020 at 1:24 pm, Marine Parade, Canterbury 8083, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Hi. Visiting He Puna Taimoana recently we had to park in the mobility park out front of the wheelchair accessible CCC facility. The mobility vehicle is a 3mt back load and the carpark space is not long enough due to the garden bed at the rear. The wheelchair had to enter and wait in the live oncoming lane on Marine parade due to the short length of the designated space. we pulled forward as far as we could into the carspace in front but still had to have the childrens chair exit and enter into the roadway. please refer to the photographs attached. If this flaw could be bought to the attention of town planning or parking designers, would be appreciated.
