The reporter’s words

Can someone please explain why the street was to be given new curbing on both sides of Collingwood and the first side got laid incorrectly (it puddles and was not level or sloped to the drain) and got pulled up the day after and replaced with the proper gradient. The quality was good and then the other side of the street got worked on and was the bare minimum with only patches on the drive entrances and no curbing replacement (this side was twice as bad) and only the footpath hotsealed. The ccc chief executive and two others have said it wouldn't have been signed off after a site visit but in the initial call I was told ccc didn't actually do a site visit on the completed works and just signed it off. We now have curbing that doesn't drain away and seems like the contractors cut corners once they had to do one side of the road twice. I'd like to be called to explain why things have happened like this and how things will be rectified
