The reporter’s words
Hello. I concerned about this poster, which I have noticed has gone up at several locations around the city. Despite our own personal opinions about China and their political system - and I do have my own concerns - it inadvertently implicates the Christchurch City Council as endorsing their disapproval of China and their political system by allowing these posters to be up around the city. I think it is a dangerous course, for a local authority to be publically endorsing this level of criticism against another country. It is inappropriate and leaves the City Council vulnerable to criticism as a result. I believe it is appropriate for these posters to be removed from across the city and other mediums used by these advocates to get their message across that does not adversely reflect upon CCC. Thank you for your time and assistance with this.
