Roading/Streets
Reported Thursday, 10 December 2020 at 8:47 pm, 265, Main Road, Moncks Bay, Canterbury, 8081, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The coastal pathway is lovely. Thank you. However: eastbound bike access to it Moncks bay is frankly woeful. In terms of new H&S law, one might even describe it as legally deficient. There are three options. The first two are nonviable - essentially pedestrian only. The third is completely devoid of signage. After that, the stormwater swale confines all cyclists to run the gauntlet with the car drivers, many of whom are too easily angered by bikes in ‘their’ road. And it would be so easy to fix! Cut a few more gaps in the white timber fence and put up some proper signs. Please! Thanks for reading.
