Roading/Streets
Reported Monday, 11 January 2021 at 5:44 pm, 38, Guys Road, Yaldhurst, Canterbury, 7676, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Using Guys Rd as a detour for Pound RD is not acceptable. Send the traffic down the main road This road is not wide enough for two truck and trailers to pass. A complaint with the quarry normally but it simply can not cope with the sheer volume the Pound road detour has created . I assume Guys Rd will be next to be repaired as work done badly last time only lasted two days with this detour traffic which has just disintegrated the road let alone the damage to the verges because the road wasn’t wide enough There has already been one accident that I know of when a horse float was rear ended turning into its paddock and the traffic is certainly not going only 60kph And I gave up trying to cross the road to get to the letterbox.
