Roading/Streets
Reported Friday, 19 February 2021 at 6:58 am, 1 Rempstone Drive, Halswell, Christchurch 8025, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This is terrible transport design and needs fixing. The footpaths go on each side of the road, but do not go down to the road so effectively there is no crossing. This is such a pain for prams, wheelchairs and when we walk with children who are on bikes/scooters. The footpath along Patterson Tce just stops and the only option is to go bumping over the grass and over the gutter or go further up Rempstone Dr and cross using a driveway. I would like to see a proper crossing ideally with an pedestrian island to calm vehicle traffic.
