The reporter’s words

I am writing concerning a health and safety issue regarding the deterioring condition of the footpath outside 168 Fendalton Road. the footpath is cracked and has pronounced high ridges on it, as well as sinking levels around the water meter in the middle of the footpath. Both of these are hazards regarding which I have received negative comments from the public. It is a danger to those walking along it, particularly to older people for whom it is a popular walking route to the park. It is also dangerous for the many children who pass it on their way to Fendalton School, especially those on scooters. Some remedial work has been carried out recently close to the corner of Waiwetu Street, but this did not fix the problem further down the footpath. I look forward to your response as the school year is underway and I do not want to hear of accidents along this stretch of footpath. many thanks, Virginia Clayton vjclayton1515@gmail.com 0226130772
