The reporter’s words

I reported the positioning of these advertising signs several weeks ago. I subsequently had a phone call from the CCC advising that the shops concerned had been spoken to, and that it would not happen again! As you can see from the photograph, that is a joke! My situation is that I have a disability card, as I walk with a walking stick. I cannot open the passenger door of my car. As you can see, the signs completely stop that from happening. Prior to the earthquake, I had a shop in the city with a street sign just like these. The CCC by-law was unless your sign was against the building, it would be removed. So I am wondering why these shops are getting away with what is clearly a hopeless situation. Heaven help anyone who is partially sighted, or blind!
