Sewer - General
Reported Monday, 1 March 2021 at 7:34 pm, 12, Sherwood Lane, Cashmere, Canterbury, 8022, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
There is a steel cover that has fractured completely which I believe covers a sewerage sump. It is located on a private lane (Sherwood Lane) which has a number of houses. I have no idea as to whose property this is located on as it is adjacent to the communal lane. It is 500 mm across and had an obsolete Micro Wakefield cover. The sump is very deep (1 and a half metres approx). I think it services 6b MacMillan Ave and 15 Sherwood Lane. It is certainly a serious safety issue and requires urgent attention. To assist (Sherwood Lane is a complex and confusing area) I can show your staff its location phone 021 663 576 or 021 668 976. I live at 8 Sherwood Lane, Cashmere. Michael Keyse
