Roading/Streets
Reported Friday, 24 June 2016 at 10:19 am, Burnside, 8053, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
Signage about no exit at Avonhead / tussled junction are inadequate. 1 small no exit sign on corner of hawthorn den and an ambiguous no through road at the end. Many many drivers do not see or understand this is closed. More obvious and visible signs are needed to advise drivers that there really is no exit to tussled road. Cars regularly try and squeeze through or get past the cycle lane damaging posts and verges. An accident waiting to happen when someone pushes into russet road at night - when there is much activity on Avonhead with people turning and trying to get through. Please improve signage before someone gets hurt
